You’ll be pleased to read that it is it “time” for the latest thrill-packed installment of the ever popular “Post From The Past”. This time the roll-back the clocks to the heady days of June 2007; and what a time it was for Britain. We can all remember the excitement of the Nintendo “Game Boy” hitting the shops and the end of post-war rationing. But, what was happening in the land of Sherby57? Here’s what:
10 ) Pound Shop Nightmare – A rare post for this blog in that it actually happened.
9 ) Puzzle Corner – More challenging than Sudoku, these puzzles will keep you occupied for, literally, hours.
8 ) Geordie Jeans – Why do the geordie people look so damn hot in jeans? As scientists race to solve this eternal conundrum, feast your eyes on this marvellous advertisement.
7 ) Where do Spuds Come From? – This is the first bit of investigative journalism carried out by the Sherby57 team. We still employ a full-time team of private investigators to scour the mean streets of Burscough looking for spuds. It’s all very mysterious. 6 ) Computer Game Review – I don’t really like computer games; I’m much more of a role-play kind of guy (doctors and nurses, that kind of thing). Sometimes though, you have to do something for the kids. And these reviews are pretty good to be fair.
5 ) Bobby B Introduces Black Manalishi – It’s something of a surprise for this to be ranked so low when such a legend is involved; especially when it involves a video clip of the man himself. This is only marked down because you can’t actually hear what he is saying.
4 ) Amazing Animations! – Many people assume that I hired Pixar to create these animated masterpieces, but they are wrong. Just in case you were wondering, they are actually animation and not video clips. I know it’s hard to believe.
3 ) Legends – This was the first appearance on Sherby57 by Mr David “Bobby B” “Davester” “Captain Daveman” Burley. It’s a genuine photo of the decor at the White Hart Pub, Warrington. It’s heartwarming to know that it isn’t just me that recognises Dave’s genius.
2 ) Fireheart! Part 2 – The second chapter of probably the greatest adventure story ever told.
1 ) Fireheart! Part 1 – And straight in at number one is Fireheart Part 1. Realistically only a Fireheart can beat a Fireheart; it’s simple maths.
