There’s a thing you’ll notice
If you study a sparrow
Its hair is long
And its waist is narrow
Now I know what you’re thinking
Birds don’t have hair
But really pay attention
You’ll see that it’s there
So take a fresh look
You’ll find sparrows are yummy
Just a word of advice
Don’t look at their tummy

if you look at the tummy of a common sparrow
you`ll see that it`s covered in big arrows
this is `coz it`s escaped from the nick
yes, it`s a jailbird. you cottoned on quick.
but don`t turn your back
don`t give some slack
coz it`ll pinch all your cash
then make a dash
for the nearest hedge or maybe a tree
as it will allways be a jailbird you see
Well both the poem and comment brought a smile to my face…but with these lines bout sparrows…I just can’t keep pace.
The sparrow is a powerful bird. It’s mystical influence is reflected in their prominence in ancient Egyptian hieroglyphics. Probably.
This lovely sparrow
has a thought that she’s drab
she likes to spice things up
by smoking a tab
she’s got a notion
that a tatoo might make her racy
she’s off to the ‘Dam
with William H. Macy
Now sherby’s all worried
that she’ll be defaced
like a glitch in the matrix
or a scar on a face
But don’t worry Sherbs!
It’s probably all talk
She’ll just hop about
flap her wings and squark
This has become
The most poetical of threads
From a monkey with a treehouse
To an angel with some sheds
My aversion to tattoos
Is really quite funny
Just don’t come back
With a playboy bunny
you poetical threads*
sit on your frame quite well.
or maybe it`s a big tattoo
it`s kinda hard to tell.
the sparrow wants to get one,
a little birdy on a thoroughbred horse?.
because she thinks that maybe
it will spice up her sauce.
well, sherby has his worries,
that she will be defaced.
but unlike the speedy racehorse
it`s not been done in haste.
so worry not my wordy pal
a tattoo can be like friend or lover.
one you see for chats `n stuff
or underneath the cover
